Not worth my money

This product was crap. The joints in the pole move when I'm on it. It's fallen twice since I've tried using it, once almost landing on my child. The DVD won't even play in my DVD player or on my laptop because it says it's not formatted for it. The base is not wide, so it doesn't give very much support at all. Screwing it into the ceiling doesn't even help. If you want to spin, you can only do it in one direction (right hand dominant) and even then, the pole eventually loses its support and falls. My ceilings are less than 8 feet, so I know it's not the height that's causing it to fall nor my weight because I'm less than 140 lbs. I feel like I just threw my money into a hole and lit it on fire. I'll be saving my money to buy a REAL pole that can hold up when I'm spinning and climbing. This def isn't worth the money!

My room is carpeted, so at first I couldn't get my pole to stay put. I screwed it to the ceiling and now it works wonderfully. I'm just a beginner, so I can't say how a pro would feel about it, but it does what I need it to. I've been able to do a few spins without any trouble, as well as sit up on it. Five stars.

I purchased this pole believing I would be able to do tricks and practice for my pole class. The pole was poorly designed and would not stay connected to the ceiling no matter how hard I tightened it. It may work better if you can bolt it to the ceiling. It will also not allow you to do any tricks on the left side. If you try, It will not remain stable. I do not recommend this pole if you want to spin or climb.

This pole was kind of scary. The pieces were not stable and would bend a little at the joints. There was one point where I was perched on it and it started to fall from the ceiling. If you want to actually pole dance (opposed to just a prop in the bedroom) on this pole I would not recommend it. I recommend Xpole, I have one now and love it.
You get what you pay for

I'm a newbie to the pole dancing scene, and I purchased this pole because I didn't want to shell out $300 for something I wasn't sure I would even like. It definitely follows the motto of "You get what you pay for," which is, in this case, a pole that you can only spin one way on! Let me clarify that it is a static pole. I'm talking about doing spin moves, like the fireman's spin. You can spin clockwise (right hand dominant), but if you spin counter-clockwise (left hand dominant), it unscrews the pressure mount! (Bolting it into the ceiling will not solve this problem) I'm right hand dominant, but my body feels more comfortable spinning counter-clockwise, so I'm kinda stuck. Plus, if this is supposed to be a fitness program, it should advocate working both sides of your body equally, which this pole doesn't allow. You'll notice that they don't use this pole in the workout video! The workouts are okay. They can be a little too fast or confusing in some parts, but not too bad.
Overall I would recommend it for a beginner who's interested in doing basic stuff and isn't sure whether they like pole dancing or not. It'll hold your weight fine, and you can "sit" on the pole. I haven't tried inverted stuff yet. However, I'm saving up for a nice X-pole... |
