So someone put get the x-pole or lil mynx. While I was on the x-pole website I saw it said static or spinning mode, I looked to see if they mention what that means and they don’t.. So can someone tell me what that means.. Also I am left handed and I heard many times that some can come unscrewed? Is that true.? thanks..
Umm I think u guys are not getting my questions.. So I hope someone reads it and gets it. I am asking what static spinning mode means. And is it true that if you are left handed that it will unscrew. I am not getting into it to exercise. I am doing it cause I am a dancer!!
Thanks guys and girls for ur answers. I really appreciate it. So which pole do u think I should buy the lil mynx or x-pole… Thanks again..
Static poles stay in one spot, basically the same as a pole for a street sign or whatever. They also hurt more and are harder to dance on because they create more friction when you spin. Spinning poles do just that, spin. They are easier and hurt less to dance on because they help you along when you spin. They’re also more fun. If you’re just a beginner then I’d recommend a spinning pole. Although, if you’ve never taken a pole dancing class (which is kinda evident from the fact that you don’t know the difference between a spinning an static pole), then I wouldn’t recommend buying one at all. You don’t know yet whether or not you’ll like it, and some moves are dangerous to do by yourself if you haven’t had enough practice. Why don’t you take classes first, otherwise you might find that you have a really expensive pole that you’re not going to use.
*EDIT*
Buy the x-pole, it’s better known and has a better reputation.

Just… don’t. Exercise at the gym. This pole dancing fad is stupid and misogynist.

Grab an ink pen. Use your entire fist to hold the pen. Point it down on a piece of paper. Now turn you wrist left and right. Se how the pen is moving while you hold it? Now imagine running up to a pole grabbing it fast and proffessional like and thrusting your self into a 360 spin around the pole, only you dont have to loosen your grip to do the 360, the pole is spinning for you. Now you can focus on more strenous exercises like climbing, holding your self right side up or up side down by just your legs. Goos luck, and go buy some health insurance. If an accident happens dont mention the pole. Ins might not cover it. Lloyds of London will though. They insured Dolly Partons legs, of all things!

static mode is when the pole stays mounted in one place and you can do "climbing" tricks on it.
spinning mode is when you pick a position and the pole spins around itself.
i have heard the x-pole is better, as in it is more sturdy and easier to put up and take apart.
as far as the left handed thing, i can’t say i’ve ever head of it unscrewing because of that but i am sure the directions would mention special mounting procedures if that is a problem.
