I currently rent an apartment and would love to have a pole. It would need to be removed easily, because it will be in the middle of our living room. Due to the fact of renting I can not secure the bottom part of the pole. I can however secure the top(we have a drop ceiling when you move the one tile a support beam can be easily accessed). I know many portables just attach at the top. I would love to order a lil mynx pole but I don’t have $300 to spend at the moment. What would be the best way of doing this. It is also important it would be secure enough so not to fall from the top. We have a rather expensive plasma screen tv and would not that or a window to be broken. Thanks for the help.

I don’t think the other answerers looked at the site concerning the "lil mynx pole". From what I understand of the Information provided by the site the pole is held in place by extreme spring pressure and a rubber base pad, so you are correct in that you can technically have a pole that is not physically "mounted", BUT unless you can devise a way of achieving this same spring pressure and insuring that it is applied to secure areas of the ceiling and floor you should probably buy that "lil mynx" pole.
