Approximately how long does it take to become an intermediate level pole dancer?

Today i am taking my first pole dancing class. I am pretty much starting from scratch, because I have never pole danced before. About how long does it take to go from beginner to intermediate? I know I won’t be advanced overnight, but I am hoping to get to about the intermediate level by the final class( I signed up for a total of 18 lessons). Does anyone have any tips or advice for me?
That might be a bit much to expect. Esp if u don’t have ur own pole to practice on. I do have my own and I would say it took me six months to get to "intermediate" level. With pole dance its all relative to you and what u put in. But it is NOT as easy as it looks.

I would expect that your progress depends mainly (at this beginning point) on how strong you are. You may have to develop muscles that you never even knew you had. I was just reading about a studio in Ann Arbor, MI where people go to learn about the pole. Except it is touted as a super exercise course. Well, OK, whatever they want to call it! But you will have to apply yourself. After you build up your muscles, then think about turn-on-type moves and things of that nature. If I were younger, I might give it a try, just for the heck of it. Hope you succeed in your endeavor, and keep a level head, please. Then, when you give it up, as surely you must, keep exercising, because the muscle turns to flab, the flab rubs on matching body parts, and rawness and moistness develops. Just thought I’d tell you beforehand, OK?
