by pole dancer you mean stripper, yes, all you really need to know is how to take your top off, move around sexy on stage. most stripper don’t even climb the pole and do tricks. most girls will just hold it and walk around it. if you know hoe to do tricks though you will make more tips on stage

I don’t know if it varies from state to state, but it’s New York.
Any answers appreciated.

most countries in America require you to be 18, but Canada and the U.S. are two American countries where it varies.

something ive always wanted to do! and ive finally got the pole, and the dvd training kit, but theres no pole dancing lessons close to me, and wherever ive looked there far away and cost alot of money, so i was just wondering, can you go to auditions without having proper training and if youve taught yourself

You can definitely become a pole dancer without taking lessons and instead training yourself…I did! After all, the minute you do your first move on the pole, you’re a pole dancer. But you don’t specify what you’re planning to audition for, and perhaps that’s where your hesitation lies.

If you’re referring to getting a job as professional dancer in a strip club, then as far as I know you just need to be able to entertain the audience. Neither your boss nor the patrons are going to care how you learned your pole dance moves, so grab your DVDs and go for it!

If you’re wanting to get good enough to audition for a pole dance competition, performing group, or similar, then again I believe the focus is more on what you can do rather than on how you got your training.

As far as teaching pole dancing, if you’d like to audition in the hopes of getting a teaching position at a pole dance studio, the training requirement will vary. There are no set standards for pole dance instructor qualifications as there are for say doctors or lifeguards. Some studios will want you to have a fitness instructor certification and a minimum level of pole dance ability. Others will apprentice you if they feel you have the potential. Still others offer instructor training programs and only hire out of that program.

Teaching is different than performing in that you’ll be responsible for leading a safe and effective class, so it’s important to have some knowledge and training, or at least some background or experience in dance, fitness, gymnastics or a similar sport. If you’ve done or coached any of these in the past you’ll have a good base for teaching, but you may still want to take additional training specific to the activity, and in particular to teaching, if this is your goal.

What is the best at home stripper pole? I want to use it for the workouts. Looking for under 200
If you think 200 is too low, what is a good pole, for say under three or four? Is it better to have the spring one or the one you screw into the ceiling?

Anything under 200 is going to be bad for your safety and it will be hard to advanced spins and inverts.

I bought the Carmen Electra pole as my first.. it was 150.. horriable, it held my easy basic spins but it could easily break if youre over 150. There is no good pole under 200. The higher you go the better.

I suggest the lil myxn, removeable oryou can screw it in its around 250, their a good rating within the pole industry… as well as the xpole…. rated higher but it is 400.. highly worth it

—-
Try the lil myxn,, it is around 250. I prefer the removable one, it is easy to install, and you can remove it without screws or anything. Plus they hold amazing and it doesnt damage the ceiling.

http://www.lilmynx.com/shop/product_info.php?cPath=1_23&products_id=33

^200.00 and removable, with shipping it probably be 230 or 250.

We live together and she bought a shiny stripper pole. I didn’t know she got it and ran into it last night when i came home. It’s for her "exercise." Yeah, what guy wouldn’t like it, but I’m going to sound like a bitch, but my family is gonna flip when they see it (and not in a good way.) They already think she’s crazy.
what should i do…and it doesn’t come down.

I can totally understand why you would freak about your parents seeing a stripper pole in your house…if they would know that is actually what it is.

You could buy some special hooks from Bunnings and hang plants from it and then take them off when its only the two of you….?

I just turned eighteen in the beginning of June. Moving to Florida sometime this year. My body is in good shape, and I would love to dance FOR a night club. The whole night club atmosphere is very exciting to me and I would REALLY enjoy having a dance type of job.

How can I start out?

Please help me girls! I would really appreciate anyyyy advice! Thank you!

Go to a nightclub, if you like the atmosphere then you ask for a job. First, see which ones you like. e.g. one nightclub might be really bad…if you know what I mean. If you find the one you feel comfortable with, go for it. Ask if they have any jobs for pole dancing…and they`ll either say yes or no.

 Good Luck.
